Hollywood And Royals!

HOLLYWOOD—In Hollywood, celebrities are used to seeing paparazzi creep up everywhere. Truth be told, paparazzi have to make a living as well. We all know that Ron Galella was dubbed the pioneer paparazzo. Ron was regarded as the most controversial celebrity photographer in the world. The perils and occupational hazards of being a photojournalist have included being assaulted, verbally abused, and sued. Ron went through it all. That was in the past. Today, anyone who has a camera thinks that they are paparazzi.
We have all seen the same picture pop-up of a celebrity taken at a red carpet event. They all look alike. However, once in a blue moon a photo comes out that is iconic, takes stars by surprise, and shows the world the real personalities behind the star's character. The fascination with celebrities and royalty has always been evident. From the late Princess Diana to Miley Cyrus. Nonetheless, everyone knows about the power of the paparazzi who will do whatever it takes to chase down celebrities and royals. The most sought after celebrities and royals today include Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan, Kim Kardashian(or any Kardashian clan), Britney Spears, Justin Beiber, Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middelton. This is life as we know it.
A French court ruled in favor of Prince William and wife Kate Middelton a few days ago in their fight over topless photos of Britain's future queen. The scope of that ruling will be limited, the Associated Press reports. We are all aware that Prince William and Kate were sharing a deeply intimate moment that was caught by the snap of an intruding paparazzi. These images were seen in the popular French gossip magazine, Closer. It then took off in two other countries and on the internet. The magazine Closer is part of the Italian publishing house Mondadori, owned by former Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi. An Ireland tabloid published more photos, as well. According to published reports, the court also stopped Closer magazine from republishing the pictures anywhere, including its website and its tablet app. They were also banned from reselling them. The publisher Mondadori faces a fine of $13,100 (10,000 Euros) a day for each day the injunction is not honored, and if the photos are sold in France or abroad. The photos in question show the Duchess relaxing on vacation at a private villa in Provence, France.
The royals have a history of being photographed by paparazzi in various states of undress while they are vacationing. According to published reports back in 1991, England's Sun printed photos of the Duke of York exposed, dubbing him "Randy Andy" by the tabloids. A year later, the Duchess of York was pictured in the South of France topless on a beach chair having her toes sucked by Texas multimillionaire John Bryan. The photos were published by Paris Match and the Daily Mirror. According to published reports, the French magazine was later forced to pay 84,000 British pounds. The ensuing scandal simply hastened the end of her marriage to Prince Andrew and the couple divorced four years later.
I bumped into Sarah Ferguson (Fergie), the Duchess of York, last week. The Duchess is currently on a book tour making the rounds with her new children’s book titled “Ballerina Rosie.“ “What was the most interesting thing that happened to you when you married Prince Andrew?" “Walking down the aisle," said the Duchess.” Sarah Ferguson said that she and the Prince remain very close and spend quality time together. She mentioned that she writes about her personal experiences and her childhood. A definite must-read for children of all ages.
