Seeing Stars!

So who will be standing when Ryan Seacrest announces the final results on the finale May 23? Star gazing facetiously proclaims that it will be a close tie between Melinda Doolittle and LaKisha Jones. According to loyal "Idol" viewers the word is that Melinda Doolittle will be the next "American Idol".

Melinda has been humble throughout the competition, and her beautiful, controlled voice has soared in some of the best performances these past few weeks. The former backup singer has even begun to let her personality shine through. LaKisha on the other hand, nailed "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going", however seems that she only performs R & B songs, which doesn't show diversification. In the next few weeks to come, one thing is for sure, we'll see a lot of tears, with surprise departures and a slew of music royalty stepping up to the plate looking for "Idol" to boost their CD sales. The judges, especially Simon Cowell, have a tendency to comment on the contestants looks, however keep insisting it's a "singing competition".

Remember Kevin Covais? He was the finalist of Season 5, who'll be making his big-screen debut in the teen comedy "College". The flick is about three high-school seniors who enjoy a wild weekend during a visit to a college campus.

The Anna Nicole Smith saga continues with the paternity of her baby daughter Dannielynn, her mysterious death and the death of her son Danniel. Larry Birkhead, has become a household name, since he's confident of his fatherage. In the latest hearing of the case, the judge refused to grant Birkhead's request that Anna Nicole's companion at the time of her death, take a paternity test. However, it seems that the judge said he would review the matter, and scheduled a follow-up hearing for the 27th of March. The good news obviously pleased Larry so much, that it prompted him to reveal to People magazine that he's preparing the nursery for six-month old Dannielynn.  The mysterious death of Anna Nicole, lists the cause of death as unknown awaiting the results of the toxicology reports. The inquisition of the death of her son Danniel is scheduled for March 26, in the Bahamas. Smith who died at the age of 39 on Feb. 8,  was finally buried on March 2 in the Bahamas at Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleums. Ever since her burial, the graveyard has become a famous tourist attraction. According to my source, officials are trying to build a wall block to avoid the hordes of cars from passing by.

HBO is betting on Atlantic City, Alright, so the "Sopranos" is going off the air, it doesn't mean that New Jersey will be off the map. HBO will be teaming up with Martin Scorsese and Mark Wahlberg  on a drama based on Nelson Johnson's book titled "Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City". The executive producers of this high-powered drama, as you've probably guessed are Scorsese and Wahlberg.

Rose's Scoop: Talia, the Mexican actress and singer and wife of music-mogul Tommy Mottola will add radio host to her resume. Her radio show aired on March 17, and will eventually be switched from Saturdays only to daily according to ABC.

A Special Birthday wish goes out to soccer player Brien Czuj, who'll be celebrating his special day on March 26.
