Summer Tours And Music!
Posted by Rose Quintiliano on May 24, 2013 - 6:24:01 AM

HOLLYWOOD—Paul McCartney kicked off his North American tour "Out there," last week in Orlando. The over-the-top massive production requires 31 trucks worth of equipment, includes lasers, pyrotechnics and state-of-the-art- video displays, according to the website of the former Beatle. In Brazil, he performed to a sold-out crowd of 55,000 earlier this month, performing the hits" Band on the Run," "Hey Jude," "Yesterday " and "Let It Be."

In the meantime, a guitar played by Beatles pair John Lennon and George Harrison has been sold for $408,000 at a New York auction. The Beatles Vox guitar, a custom prototype made back in 1966, was sold by Julien's Auctions at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square.  Lennon also played it in the promotional video for” Hello, Goodbye," but it did not make it to the final cut. George Harrison can be seen rehearsing with the guitar on "I Am The Walrus," during the Magical Tour of September 1967.

On tour currently in Europe is Bon Jovi sans Richie Sambora. Richie left the tour suddenly last month citing "personal issues." while, Bon Jovi hasn't uttered a word to elaborate on the departure of the band mate, he has hinted to the Evening Standard that it may be related to Sambora's alcohol troubles, which led him to rehab in 2011 and forced him to miss concert dates. Bon Jovi has always been a businessman, runs his band like a tight ship. It's definitely one of the reasons he is so successful. I've known the band for decades before they became famous and if Richie is not touring there has to be a very good reason for the departure. It will be truly surprising to me if Richie Sambora returns.

Scott Weiland, founding member of Stone Temple Pilots, that was booted earlier this year, has been replaced by Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. Stone Temple Pilots hired Bennington who will split his time between the two bands.

There is some big news for Paris Hilton, the socialite-turned singer has officially signed a deal with Cash Money Records. This will be Hilton's second album. She's in good hands with Cash Money Records, home to other big names, including Lil' Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Drake. The 32-year-old former reality TV star was recently at the Cannes Film Festival. She is truly an inspiration; her presence in the fashion world boosts the economy with more than 40 Paris Hilton Stores worldwide that sell her brand of perfumes, handbags, watches, shoes and other products. Paris has added Paris Beach Club, to her resume, which features 3 levels of amenities in the Philippines. Back in 2011, she announced that she would be bringing high-end celebrity construction projects to the Philippines. There's a beach bar, with modern lines, chilled lighting, simply magnificent. Kudos to Paris for dabbling in everything and most importantly, succeeding.

Rose's Scoop: We were on the same flight from Los Angeles with multi-talented Jay Sean. Jay Sean is a rising star whose voice is energizing and makes you want to get up and dance. He has worked with PitBull, Nicki Minaj and DJ Pauly D. Neon is the fourth studio album scheduled to drop on June 25, on Cash Money Records.

Wishing everyone a safe Memorial Day Weekend!
