We Made This Movie!
Posted by Rose Quintiliano on Sep 28, 2012 - 4:13:04 PM

HOLLYWOOD—Movies open in Hollywood almost every week; however, the big studios have the final say to pull out all the stops and throw an authentic, full-blown Hollywood premiere. The celebrities arrive in stretch limos in front of the movie theatre, to the applause of the screaming fans.

TV reporters, along with journalists, interview the celebrities, while the paparazzi shoot photos of the stars on the red carpet before they step inside to watch the film. The atmosphere is quintessential, a real Hollywood experience. While most of the special movie premieres take place along Hollywood Boulevard at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, on occasion you'll see one at the Grove.

In these premieres, the stars turn out in person along with a bevy of other Hollywood celebs that show up, either in support of their friends, as a favor to the studio, or their agent wants them to be seen in the spotlight. In these premieres, you have a rare chance of seeing numerous celebrities and watch all the hoopla around the arrival of the stars in person at a single event. Many celebrities stop and answer questions for the reporters before they walk on the red carpet and go inside to watch the film.

Hollywood and New York City are usually the places to see movie premieres. The seats inside the movie premiere are usually reserved for the press, stars, filmmakers, their family and friends and whoever they choose to invite. The rest of the average-Joe's are waiting outside or waiting to see the movie at the theatres when its released to the public.

Alas, we were invited to attend the premiere in New York City of the film titled "We Made This Movie." The indie comedy was written by writers Rob Burnett and Jon Beckerman and directed by Rob Burnett. The coming-of-age movie centers on a group of high school seniors who want to make a movie in hopes of becoming famous and leaving their depressed town. When they begin filming the behind-the scenes footage, they decide to go with it. "We Made This Movie," is  "All in all, an unusually well-made and amiable comedy."

The director Rob Burnett is a five-time Emmy Award-winning executive producer of the Late Show with David Letterman. So I asked, "Why did you choose the name of the movie, ”We Made This Movie?" "Well...I know it sounds kind of cheesy, but we just decided to go with it."

On the red carpet, our buddy Gayle King wore her favorite color yellow with a cinched belt, and she took the time to go back inside to get someone popcorn. The last one to arrive on the red carpet was Howard Stern and his lovely wife Beth Ostrosky. Howard was there to support his friend and director, Rob Burnett. The film stars Anabella Acosta, Brando Boniver, and Courtney S. Burnbury among many more.

Rose's Scoop:” Remembering Whitney," a one-hour special will air on October 17 on Lifetime. The reality show titled "The Houston's: On Our Own," will follow the Houston's around including Whitney's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and the rest of the clan.
