HOLLYWOOD—Over 41 million viewers watched the Academy
Awards telecast. It was the biggest audience to watch since 2005, when approximately 42.1 million viewers tuned in.

Olympics over, we can switch our focus to the Oscars on March 7. This
year Oscar will shine, just like the stars that will walk the red
carpet.
HOLLYWOOD—This year “American Idol” has turned its attention to the judges. Even though we love Ellen DeGeneres, one thing is for sure, we miss Paula Abdul.
HOLLYWOOD—Instead of worrying how to survive Valentine’s
Day, single folks along with couples headed for movie theaters to watch the
flick “Valentine’s Day.”

—Exquisitely painful, it sparked off hundreds of emotions. Heartbreak is what we viewed in prime time, as well as dozens of television networks.
BEVERLY HILLS—The catastrophe in Haiti was surely not forgotten at this year’s 67th annual Golden Globe Awards show that took place on January 17, in Beverly Hills.

—Unless you live with wolves, you joined the rest of us and watched the season premiere of “American Idol.” It’s like getting a visit from a rich aunt.

—Holidays are over, and while many are returning unwanted gifts back to the stores, there is one person I’m sure wants to keep her Christmas gift.

HOLLYWOOD—Enough with the Salahis, who are extending their 15 minutes. The alleged White House gatecrashers Tareq and Michaele Salahi sounded like they were giving a deposition about a parking summons.

—Ringing in the holiday movie season is “Disney’s “The Frog and the Princess,” and WB’s “Ninja Assasin” and “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.”

—If you’re rich, you always fly first class. If you are wealthy, you charter a private jet. If you are really, really wealthy, you own a private jet.
HOLLYWOOD—Leave it to Hollywood to come up with a classic
Christmas tale. Walt Disney’s 3-D animated movie technology and Jim
Carrey, get you in the spirit with “A Christmas Carol.”
HOLLYWOOD—Celebrities are finding ways to give to the less fortunate. Society may call it “Giving back” but it should be called “Giving from the heart.”
HOLLYWOOD—One way of striking it rich, is to make a low budget horror film and have it become successful. It takes a bit of luck, and it may get noticed by a producer.
HOLLYWOOD—It was on Twitter, that I first learned about the “Balloon Boy,” a 6-year-old who was allegedly trapped in a homemade helium-filled flying saucer.
HOLLYWOOD—Generally, people who stay connected with others become resilient and it helps them overcome tough times. They interact with other people and learn to cultivate any crisis.
