CALIFORNIA—A statewide fundraiser will be hosted by California Pizza Kitchen this week to benefit the families of the two officers who were killed by ex-LAPD officer, Christopher Dorner. Crain, a resident of Beaumont, was fatally wounded when he was reportedly shot by Dorner on February 3 in Riverside. MacKay, a resident of Redlands, was fatally wounded during gunfire that proceeded south of Big Bear while Dorner was barricaded in a cabin on February 12 where he allegedly died.
MacKay leaves behind a wife, a seven-year-old daughter and a four-month-old son. Crain is survived by his wife, a ten-year-old son and a four-year-old daughter.

The fundraiser is in partnership with the Riverside Police Officers' Association (RPOA) and the Sheriff's Employee Assistance Team (S.E.A.T.). It will be held from Monday, February 25 to Thursday, February 28 at all 72 CPK restaurants located in California. CPK will donate 20 percent of all participating checks to RPOA and S.E.A.T. from those who bring in a fundraising flyer.
