Coachella 2013 Releases Lineup
Posted by Katherine Noland on Jan 26, 2013 - 12:16:24 AM

INDIO—California’s most popular music festival Coachella released their lineup Thursday morning, announcing headliners that include the Stone Roses and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Taking place at its usual spot at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA, one of the nation’s most recognized festivals will be held on the consecutive weekends of April 12-14, and April 19-21. Audiences can expect its traditional variety of genres and artists, including Modest Mouse, Phoenix, Skrillex, Passion Pit, Franz Ferdinand, La Roux, Pretty Lights, The Lumineers, Wu Tang Clan, along with major headliners including Red Hot Chili Peppers and Stone Roses (check out the full line-up at www.coachella.com).

Bands/artists will be taking over the festival’s five stages; the Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, Gobi Tent, Mojave Tent and the Sahara Tent. Potential patrons should consider purchasing their tickets soon, as last year the festival sold out in roughly two hours. Coachella 2012 tickets went on sale January 13 at 10:00 a.m. and sold out by 1:00 p.m. Last year’s show included headlines Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog, and included the infamous Tupac Shakur hologram that appeared on stage, surprising thousands of festival goers present at the event.

Tickets this year are $349 for the weekend (general admission), and $799 for VIP admission. Temperatures are usually high, reaching nearly 110 degrees Fahrenheit, as the event is located in a desert area.
