HOLLYWOOD—Bryan Genesse returned to "The Bold and the Beautiful" this week in a role that he created over two decades ago. Genesse will reprise his role as Rocco Carner on the number one watched daytime drama in the world. Genesse and Rocco both proved, yes, you can go home again.

When Genesse last portrayed Rocco, he was involved with sisters Katie and Donna Logan in a bittersweet love triangle that included unrequited love, heroics, betrayal and a proposal of marriage meant for one sister but mistakenly made to the other. But the new actresses who portray those characters are all grown up in the form of Emmy winner Heather Tom and the talented, sexy Jennifer Garies. Viewers will be surprised to learn where Rocco has been all these years, how he’s stayed connected to the powerful Forrester family, and why he’s returned. The episodes began this week. Genesse tells Canyon News, "Truly, this is a homecoming for me. Brad Bell is such a talented producer and writer and he gave me my first big break by creating the role and casting me as Rocco Carner. It's my privilege to go back home to 'B&B' to reprise my favorite role because I know the writers will make it an exhilarating roller coaster ride that I hope lasts a long, long time." There’s no doubt this will be the case. But Brad Bell should work for the CIA. The scribe and uber-producer would not budge on what the storyline will be. But fans, look out! Don’t miss an episode of the show in the coming weeks and months.

Genesse was busy in his life in the intervening years writing, producing and starring in action feature films like "The Alternate" for Nu Image, "Bad Guys," which he directed as well, and "Fire," during which he suffered severe injuries. Genesse starred in HBO's "A Body to Die For" with Ben Affleck and co-starred in Fox's Blake Edwards's comedy, "Skin Deep," opposite John Ritter in the still infamous condom scene. Genesse also starred in the primetime television series "Street Justice" for Stephen J. Cannell and "Cold Squad." "I have been fortunate to work all over the world and to this day, fans in every country come up to me excited to see Rocco and ask about the show," Genesse added.

Genesse and his actress/wife, Brooke Theiss Genesse, have also been happily busy raising son Mitchell, 13, and daughter Aubrey, 3 months. Here’s hoping Genesse and Rocco will hang around “B&B” for a while.
