HOLLYWOOD—On Sunday night’s episode of the HBO hit series “Boardwalk Empire” titled “What does the Bee Do?” Margaret found herself in a strange place at this stage of her life and in her relationship with Nucky. Though viewers are very much aware of a sneakier side to Margaret, Nucky is so preoccupied with the state’s investigation into his corrupt political affairs that he’s not paying close attention to his mistress’s changing behavior.
As Margaret began to hide money away from Nucky and others, viewers are wondering what she’s really up to? Is she making plans to run and hide, now that her maid Katy knows who she really is? Or is she planning a payoff of the housekeeper who may be plotting blackmail? So many questions were asked by viewers last night, but we all know they are leading to a showdown.
Chalky’s power within his African American community took a hit last night, when he was confronted by some church ladies, widows and victims of his criminal pursuits. However, his most shocking revelation last night after being released from jail, was that his own family is starting to look at him very differently, and everyone knows that Chalky feels under siege and threatened. We also realize that it’s probably not a smart move by his family and even his enemies of putting him in a vulnerable spot.
During a party, Nucky had a brainstorm. Since he has connections in the office of the U.S. Attorney General, he leaked some illegal behavior on his part to the media, so that the feds would not only join the investigation of his wrongdoing, but take over the case fully. Margaret seemed stunned by such a conniving side to her lover, but she also seemed preoccupied with her own secrets, which will be revealed in upcoming episodes, leaving Nucky more shocked than ever.
Jimmy and Mickey headed to Philadelphia, but Jimmy’s learning that he may not be a match for big brother Nucky’s criminal empire. While behind his back, Mickey is growing closer to the woman Jimmy loves. Is this just a warm and caring moment between the two, or something bigger in the works?
Last night was exciting, we even had an explosion at a distillery, which left two lawmen clinging for life. “Boardwalk Empire’s” second season is more exciting than the first. And next week’s episode is a must see.
