“General Hospital” Week Of Shocking Moments
Posted by LaDale Anderson on Nov 15, 2012 - 7:01:52 PM

HOLLYWOOD—Whoever said that the soap opera lost its touch of delivering unbelievable moments on the small screen must have missed the past week of “ General Hospital” because the soap delivered a double whammy this week for audiences?  Friday, November 9 marked the beginning of an epic cliffhanger that had audiences guessing just who was behind that rubber mask claiming to be Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), Anna’s (Finola Hughes) dead husband back from the grave.  The writers did a stellar job of the revelation with Robin (Kimberly McCullough) in absolute shock after seeing the face of her captor, Cesar Faison (Anders Dove).

I had a feeling that the series might be bringing the super-villain back to the show, but never in a million years did I expect that shocker.  Now that Robin knows who her captor is does that mean she’s done for good?  Only time can tell, but if my suspicions mark me correctly expect some daytime fireworks come February 2013, as I expect Robin to make her way back to Port Charles.  Faison has had an obsession with Anna for years, not to mention her pal Felicia (Kristina Wagner).

Will Robin (Kimberly McCullough) be rescued?

Can you imagine the look on Felicia’s face if she stumbles across Faison’s true identity?  I’m just saying “GH” fans it would be epic television, as Frisco (Jack Wagner) could make a return to the soap to rescue his wife?   The revelation of Cesar Faison was not the only surprise on Monday’s episode of “ General Hospital” as it was revealed in the final moments that Faison had been holding the real Duke Lavery captive!   This is what great writing is all about.

Just when the audience thinks they know what will happen, wham out of left field they are caught off guard.  As the week comes to a close, another familiar face returns to Port Charles: Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers).  Is he aware of Faison’s intentions?  Just what has brought him back to his original stomping grounds?  Anna has every man in Port Charles vying for her affection, Luke, Duke, Faison and Robert, what is a girl to do?

That wasn’t the only shocking moment of the week as Carly (Laura Wright) came face-to-face with A.J. (Sean Kanan).  She thought she might have seen a ghost last week, but all her suspicious came to an epic showdown, as she called the police to have her baby daddy thrown in the slammer.  She was already facing apprehension from Michael (Chad Duell) about her past misdeeds; this may be the nail in the coffin.

A.J. has quite a bit of explaining to do, and no one wants to hear it more than Sonny (Maurice Benard) who paid the culprit a visit while he sat in a jail cell.  The tension in the room could be cut with a knife.  The guy who has raised Michael goes toe-to-toe with the guy who is Michael’s biological father.

This week marked the return from the dead and many familiar faces; surprises that continue to keep viewers glued to the small screen.  There are still two weeks left for the month of November, so I’m expecting quite a few more surprises from the writers at “ General Hospital.”
