“Revenge” Recap: ‘Collusion’

HOLLYWOOD—What the perfect way to set-up for February sweeps as “Revenge” teased audiences with a game changer in Sunday’s episode cleverly titled ‘Collusion.’  It was quite the steamy opening that saw Emily and Aiden consummating their relationship, but she was dreaming about her former flame Daniel.  Looks like the love triangle is getting more complicated.   Conrad illustrated for Victoria her plan involving Amanda Clarke. Victoria was not too pleased to see Ashley back at her home and the claws came out.

Padma attempted to bond with Nolan in the midst of his crisis of a love life, not to mention that she is using him, but then again Nolan might be too smart for that. Daniel surprised Emily with an unexpected trip, just as Aiden received his first assignment from Helen, which was a doozy: kill Victoria Grayson!  What pushed him over the edge was the video he saw of his sister. Amanda & Jack may have made a deal with the Devil in mixing business with Conrad.  Padma continued to search Nolan’s office to find the program that Nolan has carefully stashed away, when she was caught red-handed by Nolan; his suspicious has been awakened.

Charlotte was devastated that her mother was backing out of her birthday plans, while Victoria made a trip to visit Jason, while running into Daniel and Emily. Who would’ve guessed that Aiden wouldn’t be too far behind as well?  Aiden did a bit of maneuvering with Jason in an attempt to sway him, which worked. Conrad offered a sweet deal to Jack Ryan in an attempt to get him to abandon ship.  Jason was a bit teed at Victoria for deceiving him, just as Aiden took aim to finish Victoria off.  Looks like Victoria has found a new lover!

Daniel and Jason went toe-to-toe to secure a profitable deal; where the edge was given to the youngster.   Emily took an important call from Nolan where she learned that Helen does indeed have Aiden’s sister, and learned that her nemesis is Aiden’s primary target. Emily did her best to persuade Aiden from making a horrible mistake; she poured her soul Aiden, during the emotional moment, which proves she is indeed in love with him. 

Victoria chose to lay a vicious deceit into Emily, failing to realize the woman just saved her life.  Nolan and Emily bonded over their troubles, where Emily discovered from Nolan his secret program; and he discovered Padma’s deception.  The best pals put two and two together and discovered The Initiative’s program to turn out the lights. 

Just as I called it, Emily would discover Padma’s double cross and implement a plan that would destroy her slowly, but surely.  Revenge is indeed a dish best served cold. The Grayson family was dropped a bombshell when Charlotte revealed that she changed her last name to Clarke; well she is indeed a Clarke, and I couldn’t help, but notice the smile on Emily’s face when she heard the news. Emily revealed her duplicity to Daniel, who was well aware of what was planned.  Declan was not too pleased to hear that they’re now tied up with Conrad Grayson.  Conrad then made a deal with the elder Ryan brother, who I’m sure will lead to devastation.  Padma stumbled on what she thought was the program, only she was duped in more ways than one. I’m so eagerly looking forward to her demise. 

Aiden showed Emily the tragic video of his sister’s death, which broke his heart and ripped Emily apart inside.  The rage inside him exploded.  The trust that Aiden once had for Emily is gone; she’s worried and she should be.    The start of February sweeps will ignite with a bang as someone very close to Emily will die!  Start making your guesses; this is “Revenge” so expect the death to be a stunner.  Until February 10 “Revenge” lovers.
