“Revenge” Recap: ”˜Intuition”™
Posted by LaDale Anderson on Oct 23, 2012 - 6:58:41 PM

HOLLYWOOD—Episode four “Intuition” came with a few surprises I’m sure audiences weren’t expecting.  The episode opened with a huge mystery as a maid was seen cleaning blood from the floor.  An unnerved Victoria was seen torching a check and some other document in the fireplace.   Rewind to a few hours earlier, Emily and Aiden are bickering about her mother.  Their bickering was a bit contagious as both Victoria and Conrad took jabs at each other.   Victoria was eager to get her hands on Amanda’s journal about David Clarke; to say that she was afraid of her secrets being unleashed is an understatement.

Ashley is indeed Conrad’s spy, but he must be paying her quite well for her to bed Daniel.  It now all makes sense; Ashley has ulterior motives.  My biggest question is what secrets from her past will the audience discover.   Nolan hacked into the Grayson’s security system to give Emily an edge as she attended Amanda’s baby shower thrown by the lovely Victoria herself.   Emily coached Amanda on how to deal with Victoria, who offered cash for the journal, $100,000 to be exact.

Aiden made a fatal mistake when he chose to meet Emily’s mother again at the Pinecrest Motel. This time she drugged him and left Aiden tied up.   Conrad met with the people responsible for David Clarke’s death and warned them to find Gordon Smith aka the White-Haired Man.  Sparks began flying between Nolan and Padma after she helped him locate his father’s belongings.

Daniel was indeed onto Ashley’s antics and decided to play along.   As Amanda questioned Victoria about Emily’s mother, the two got into a heated argument where Victoria revealed Emily’s mother tried to drown her.  This led to a shocking moment where Amanda fell from the banister.

To say Victoria was speechless would be an understatement.  She may have just murdered a woman and her unborn child.  To make matters worse, she had “blood” on her hands. Emily was haunted with guilt.  She knew she was responsible for what happened to Amanda.  If Amanda or her child died, Emily has immense guilt to live with.   Declan, Jack, Charlotte and Emily waited at the hospital with news on Amanda and the baby.

We also discovered that Declan’s friend is hoping to get the restaurant from Jack. There is no such thing as easy money.  Conrad was stunned to arrive home and see blood on the floor.  Victoria informed him about Kara and Gordon.  For the first time in a long time, these two looked genuinely afraid of something.  Kara heard about Amanda’s accident on the radio and made a surprise visit at the hospital to visit her “daughter.”

The twist of the night came when Emily spied on her mother caressing Amanda, but the revelation that her mother did indeed try to drown her tore Emily apart.  I did indeed predict heartache for our heroine in the near future; there are consequences for your actions.  Next week's episode looks to be a confrontation to die for as Victoria comes face-to-face with Kara.  Sparks will fly!  Until next week “Revenge” lovers.
