“Revenge” Recap: ”˜Sabotage”™
Posted by LaDale Anderson on Jan 14, 2013 - 11:34:29 AM

HOLLYWOOD—What a mystery “Revenge” opened with on Sunday night in episode 11, “Sabotage” that gave audiences a dead body, Aiden holding a weapon, a mask over the body’s face and a tattoo on the wrist. Emily was stunned to hear from Aiden that Helen Crowley contacted him indicating that his sister is still alive. I think she is using this information to play with Aiden's mind, but who knows she could be alive. My question is why go to such great lengths to make Aiden think she was dead?

The wicked Victoria implemented a new plan in place that involved a bit of sabotage involving Jason (Dylan Walsh); a huge competitor of Grayson Global.  It was quite interesting to watch Helen spy on Daniel and Emily as they dined on take-out, which gave Emily the right motive to invite Helen to her charity event.  At the soiree, Nolan caught up with Emily to discuss her complicated love triangle, providing insight to Emily and Aiden what he was planning for their nemesis. Our famous spy was absolutely certain that Helen had Daniel’s apartment wired. A bidding war took place between Daniel and Jason, which played right into Victoria’s hands as well as Emily’s. Helen came face-to-face with Emily, just as Nolan began to implement his plan, Emily spotted Aiden chasing after her.

Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Nolan (Gabriel Mann) having an important conversation.

Conrad was not too pleased to be entertained by antics involving Amanda Clarke and his daughter Charlotte. Charlotte did her best to comfort a troubled Declan who was a bit lost without Jack in his life.  Amanda purchased a gun, looking to go after the Ryan brothers for setting up Jack.  This is one woman you don’t want to mess with; if you piss her off, she will kill you!  Helen continued to play mind games with Aiden, she panicked when the elevator froze up and both were gassed. Victoria led Jason to believe that she was interested in him, just as he made an important phone call falling right into her clutches.

Amanda was about to pay the ultimate price to avenge Jack’s duplicitous situation, but Ashley rescued her just in the nic of time.  Conrad revealed to the couple that his rescuing of Jack plays well for him as he makes a run for public office.  Aiden tussled with a masked gunman and rescued Helen just as he was shot at by Nolan; the supposed dead victim was non-other than Emily.  A well played plan that viewers were quite unsure how it would play out.  I think for once Helen was absolutely scared for her life and she should be, Emily is not one to be underrated. As Emily planned for her date with Daniel, Victoria relished in her newfound plan, as did Conrad; looks like everyone is getting what they’ve always wanted.

Nolan continued to question his former lover’s level of trust, but I have a feeling that Padma was responsible for setting that piece of doubt in Nolan’s mind.  She was playing Nolan for a fool and that revelation was made clear in the final moments of the episode as Padma received a call from The Initiative’s primary boss, Helen.  Padma better watch her back because when Nolan finds out, bad things will happen, I feel sorry for her if Emily discovers it first. Next Sunday’s episode looks quite deadly as someone looks to take a bullet; I have the feeling that the intended target will get away unscathed, while an innocent bystander will suffer.  Then again is anyone innocent on “Revenge?”  Until next week “Revenge” lovers!
