GLENWOOD SPRINGSWant to get away? Looking for a beautiful, peaceful location? Well I've got the place for you! Nestled in between the beautiful Sopris Mountains is the Red Rooster Inn, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

Travel up a beautiful windy road to find this gorgeous bed and breakfast. Close enough to the town to grab a bite to eat, do a little shopping at the cute boutiques, or even to go to the local karaoke bar yet far enough to enjoy the beautiful scenery, fresh air, and the generous housekeeping of Gretchen Wroblewski.

My stay at Red Rooster Inn was one of the most enjoyable stays I have experienced in a long time. Upon arrival, my travel series companions and I were immediately made to feel at home with Gretchen's delicious homemade raspberry-cheese-lemon bars and a cup of warm tea. Though I was miles away from home, I felt the comfort of my home atmosphere with her fabulous cooking. If you're looking for a place to really getaway from the fast pace of L.A. life then this is the place for you.

No TV sets in the rooms or phones will give you the relaxation that you have hoped so long to have. There is a TV available by request for those of you who cannot live without it. CD players are provided in each room with relaxing tunes, or you can choose from a collection of novels to enjoy such as White Oleander. Either read in your room or take your book down with you to the amazing pond located in the back of the house. It is a great place for couples, families, or friends who need a place to go away from home, but can feel all the comforts of home.

Also on the road to the Red Rooster is the Colorado Animal Rescue Shelter also known as C.A.R.E. Their mission is to provide safety and care for homeless animals and education for the pet owning public. Their adoptions include vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, feline testing for leukemia and FIV, leash, collar, tag, Hill's Science Diet food. They also temperament test, train and find homes for dogs in need. In addition to your relaxing stay at Red Rooster, stop in at this shelter and pick up a sweet animal in need of a home.
