VI'S CORNER: "JEREMY"

BEVERLY HILLS—My name is "Jeremy", and I'm a five year old Whippet. I've been known to turn heads when I'm on my walks, and even though we're known to be able to travel up to thirty-five miles an hour, I promise not to leave your side while we're walking. However, if you're a runner or jogger, that's fine with me, too, as I need my exercise. I'll be able to keep up with you, but the question is, will you be able to keep up with me? Just be sure to keep me on a leash. I don't have to tell you why, I'm sure.

You can see that I have a very short coat, so, I'm happiest when indoors where I can cuddle next to you. Having a short coat will make it very easy for you. No tangles to brush out, in fact no brushing at all, if you don't want to - and after a bath, I'll dry in no time at all.
So, do I seem like the perfect one for you? Well, first of all I have something to ask you. Are you home most of the time? If not, I think that we have a problem, as I have separation anxiety, and that means that I don't like to be left alone. One more thing, if you have a doggie door so that I can go in and out, be sure that the yard has a very high fence or wall, as I can jump pretty high, and might want to explore.
Oh, dear, I hope that someone out there will fit my life style, as I'm really a very sweet, loving, calm boy when you're with me. However, I'll understand if I'm not the one for you, and I suggest that you look on the website: foafla.petfinder.com, where you will see dogs that will probably just curl up and go to sleep if left alone, dogs that need regular brushing and grooming (not that that's a bad thing!), and dogs with shorter legs than mine, that wouldn't be able to jump a fence even if they tried. Then there are the kitty cats that are so independent that I'm sure the majority of them probably have no idea what separation anxiety is. Okay, I said the majority, because there are probably those that do, and I don't want to get in trouble. So, won't you give a call to make an appointment to see us?
