BEVERLY HILLS—My name is "Leila", and I'm a Siberian Husky. I've heard some of the females around here, the two-legged ones, say that they wish that they had blue, almond shaped eyes like mine. They call them "sexy". I don't know what that means, but they giggle when they say it.
Speaking of eyes, Huskies can have all shades of brown eyes, all shades of blue eyes, and did you know that some of us even have one blue eye and one brown eye? How about that?
I'm five years old, very well behaved, have excellent leash manners, and I'm housetrained. I would make a great walking or running partner for someone, as long as the weather isn't too warm, that is. You see, we were bred for running and sledding in sub-zero weather.
I want you to know ahead of time that I will shed my undercoat in early to late spring. We have that thick undercoat because we have to survive that sub-zero weather, which we don't have here, of course. So, hopefully, you'll love me so much that you won't mind cleaning up some dog hair! Anyway, most dogs shed, so what could be the problem?
I sure hope that you will come to see me, but if I don't happen to be the one for you, I hope that you'll check the website: foafla.petfinder.com. There you can see all of my doggy and kitty friends that are here, and would love a home to call their own, too.
A quote for you: "It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all of the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are." - Anonymous
