BEVERLY HILLS—My name is “Morgan", and, yes, I’m a Pit Bull ”“ but, please read on, as so many of us Pitties are misunderstood and given, as they say, a bad rap. Yes, there are those that have been taught to fight, unfortunately, but even those have been known to be rehabilitated and make wonderful, loving pets.
I’m one happy guy, as you can see by the smile on my face. And, I want you to know that I love, love, love people! If you ever wanted a lap dog, and don’t mind one that weighs about 45 pounds sitting on your lap, I’m the one for you! However, if you’d rather just cuddle, I’ll definitely settle for that. If you’re active, I’d be a great jogging partner, but just some nice walks will suit me just fine. So, I hope that you will call to see me, and you’ll see what a love bug I am!
Note: A few interesting facts about Pit Bulls: In the early twentieth century Pit Bulls were known for their loyalty and bravery. A Pit Bull by the name of Sergeant Stubby was the first decorated canine war hero, and was a guest of every White House administration until his death.
“Petey the Pit Bull”was featured in the children’s classic television show “The Little Rascals”.
Helen Keller had a Pit Bull as her companion and helper, as they make great therapy and service dogs. There is a long list of famous Pit Bull owners - a few from the past are Fred Astaire, Woodrow Wilson, John Steinbeck, Thomas Edison and Theodore Roosevelt.
