BEVERLY HILLS—Hi, everyone! My name is "Ozzie", and I'm one of the lucky ones that was rescued from a city shelter in the nick of time! So, here I am, safe and sound.
No, I'm not sneering at you! I wanted to show you my pearly white teeth, and my smile came out as a sneer! Sorry about that. I sure don't want to give you the wrong impression and scare you away, as I'm not at all aggressive.
I'm one happy little guy about two years old, and I weigh twelve pounds or so. I get along just fine with other dogs, love people, and boy, do I ever love to take walks! I have perfect leash manners and will walk right beside you.
I hope that there is someone out there that will give me a chance, as I want so much to belong to someone, and be loved. I have lots of love to give back. Really, I do! Won't you please call to see me?
Note: The other day I saw a woman driving with a dog on her lap, and the dog's head was sticking out of the window. So very dangerous, not only for the dog and the woman that was driving, but for others on the road. A dog that is not secured, can be a big distraction and be the cause of an accident.
It is so important to harness your dog when you are driving. It's just as important for them to be secure, as it is for you to wear a seat belt. If you are in an accident or have to stop suddenly, they have to be protected, too.
I have to admit that at one time I was guilty of driving with my dog sitting on my lap, or on the seat next to me, with no protection. However, after reading horror stories of dogs being thrown from cars when in an accident, and how distracting an unsecured dog can be, I saw the light. Since then, I've always had my dog buckled into a doggie seat.
You can find doggie seats for small dogs and harnesses for larger dogs in most every pet supply store, in pet catalogs, or on the internet. So, there are no excuses. Keep your dogs safe. They depend on you!
I hope that you will call to see "Ozzie", and so does he! To see all of our other wonderful dogs and cats that are also waiting for that call, just check our website at: foafla.petfinder.com, and then all that you have to do is call for an appointment. It's that easy!
