BEVERLY HILLS—My name is “Sophie”, and do I have a story to tell you! I was found wandering on the street, dirty, matted, hungry and thirsty. My rescuer took me in and bathed and fed me. I had no tags or micro-chip, so he did everything he could to find out who I belonged to. He had no luck, and wasn’t able to keep me himself, so he put out the word to different rescues to see if anyone could take me.
Well, he didn’t hear from anyone, and not being able to keep me, took me to a City shelter. He was just about to take me inside when his cell phone rang. It was someone from the Friends of Animals Foundation saying that they had a space for me. What timing that was! I was really saved by the bell! So, here I am, safe and sound.
I was taken to the Vet to be checked out, and was told that I’m in great shape. I’m about a year old, weigh about 13 pounds, get along just fine with other dogs, and children, too. I’m very calm and loving, and I’ve heard people comment that I’m pretty cute! Some think that I could be a Cairn Terrier mix, which is pretty special. But, does it really matter what I am? I don’t think so. I just want someone to love me and take care of me, forever, so that I won’t have to worry about being abandoned, again.
Maybe someone reading this right now is the one. Could that be you? If it is, won’t you call to make an appointment to see me? In case you are told that I’ve already been adopted, please check the website at: foafla.petfinder.com to see all of my doggy and kitty friends that are here waiting for that phone call, too. Oh, boy, I hear that phone ringing now! I hope that it’s someone wanting to see me!
