VI'S CORNER: "TOTO"

"Toto"
BEVERLY HILLS—I’ a little Chihuahua mix, and my name is “Toto”. However, when I was brought into the Friends of Animals Foundation they were told that my name was “Lucky”. So, why the name change? Well, it seems that almost every one of us abandoned ones, when found, are named “Lucky”. Which we are, of course, otherwise who knows what would become of us. Well, there was already a “Lucky” here, so I was re-named “Toto”. So, “Toto” it is! Now that I’ve explained that interesting fact to you, I’ll tell you all that I know about myself.

I’m a little shy and timid at first, but please don’t let that stand in the way of getting to know me. Because, when I get to know you, I’m a real love bug - really, I am! Did you notice that little smile on my face? Well, I promise that it will get much bigger when that certain someone says that they would like to make me part of their family - forever, this time.

In case my name doesn’t give you a clue as to whether I’m a girl or a boy, I’ll tell you that I’m a little boy. I’m about one or two years old, and weigh not more than ten pounds. I’m not aggressive in any way, so I get along just fine with other dogs, and even though I can’t remember being with any kitties, I’m sure that we could be friends, too. Because I’m a little timid, I think that older children would be best.

I know commands, and I’m very well trained, and that includes being housetrained. So, it would be very easy for me to learn your daily routine and fit in, in no time at all. I think that my bright eyes might give you a clue as to how bright I am in other ways.

So, I hope that you will call to see me, and be sure to tell any of your friends that would also like to see one of my doggy or kitty friends to look on the FOAF website at: foafla.petfinder.com. Coming in to volunteer is a good way to learn more about us, too. All that you have to do is call to make an appointment. We’d all love to meet you!
