BEVERLY HILLS—My name is "Weber", and first of all I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!! I sure wish that someone would call to see me and say that they want to take me home right away to start the New Year with them! Well, they really wouldn't be able to take me home right on the spot, as all of us that are adopted are taken to our new home by volunteers so that the home can be checked out to be sure that they are safe and sound for us. They want to be sure that there isn't anything in the home that we can get into that could harm us, and that the fence in the yard is secure and high enough so that we can't jump over it, and has no holes that we could crawl through. They also check for poisonous and toxic plants and flowers. So, I'm happy to wait an extra day or two, so that I know that I will be safe as can be.
It just dawned on me that I haven't told you anything about myself! Well, I'm a Rhodesian Ridgeback/German Shepherd mix - two very intelligent breeds, if I must say so myself! I know voice and hand commands such as sit, stay, and heel, so I will stay right beside you when we take our walks. However, if you like to run or jog, I'd love that, too, and I'd make a great partner for you. Oh, yes, I'm also house trained, although I may have to have a short refresher course to fit in with your schedule.
I'm best as an only dog, but why would you need another one when you have me? I'm affectionate, loyal, protective of my family, and great with people. So, I hope that there is someone that would like to make me part of their family. Or, if you are a single person, I'd sure make a good companion, and we could have so much fun together!
If you say that I sound like a great dog, but I'm too big for your lifestyle, I have a solution for you. All that you have to do is look on the website, which is: foafla.petfinder.com, where you will see all kinds and sizes. And, if you want someone a little more independent, you will see lots of kitty cats looking at you with their beautiful eyes, saying that they would love to start the New Year with you, as much as I would. So, won't you please call for an appointment to see us?
