KANSAS CITY, MO—The 2012 MLB All-Star rosters have been announced, and both teams will have plenty of Angelino flair.

Clayton Kershaw, P
The Dodgers will send two representatives to the game, Matt Kemp and Clayton Kershaw. Although Kershaw is only 6-4 on the year, his 2.65 ERA is eighth in the National League and his 1.05 WHIP is sixth. Kershaw is also fourth in the league with 112 strikeouts.

Matt Kemp, OF
Matt Kemp on the other hand, is a more controversial selection. Kemp has only played in 36 of the Dodgers 80 games this season, and only 2 since May 14. Before going down with a hamstring injury, Kemp was batting .355 with 12 home runs and 28 RBIs in just 34 games. Kemp was voted in as a starter by the fans but will not play in the game. He will, however, participate in and captain the NL team in the Home Run Derby.

Jered Weaver, P
On the American League side, the Angels will send four players to the game, Jered Weaver, C.J. Wilson, Mark Trumbo, and Mike Trout.

C.J. Wilson, P
Weaver and Wilson are second and third in the AL with 2.31 and 2.33 ERAs, respectively. Weaver also leads the AL with .92 WHIP.

Mark Trumbo, OF
Mark Trumbo, who lead the Angels in home runs last year as a rookie, is going to his first All-Star game. He once again leads the Halos in home runs with 20, and RBIs with 55. Along with his .312 average, Trumbo is in the top 8 in all three Triple Crown categories. Trumbo will also compete in the Home Run Derby for the AL team.

Mike Trout, OF
Rookie sensation Mike Trout also made the team. Trout was not on the All-Star ballot because he began the season in the minor leagues. He was called up after 20 games, and since then the Angels have been on a tear. The 20-year old Trout leads the AL in batting at .339, stolen bases, with 22, and is seventh in OPS at .938. Because Trout wasn't on the official ballot, he had to rely on fans to write him in to the game, he gained over 800,000 write-in votes.

Ernesto Frieri, P
The Angels may send another player to the game, as well. Ernesto Frieri has been nominated for the 2012 All-Star Final Vote. Fans will choose between Frieri, Jonothan Broxton of Kansas City, Yu Darvish of Texas, Jason Hammel of Baltimore and Jake Peavy of Chicago for the final spot on the team. Frieri has not allowed a run since being traded to the Angels in May.

The All-Star Game will be played in Kansas City on July 10. The game will air on FOX, local channel 11.
