Adria Gasol To Walk-On At UCLA

WESTWOOD—Adria Gasol, younger brother of NBA all-stars, Pau and Marc, intends to walk-on to the UCLA men's basketball team next season.

The youngest Gasol chose not to prioritize basketball during his high school years in Memphis, and is therefore not expected to be an impact player immediately. He is, however, 6'10 and has an impressive NBA pedigree.
The Bruins will set out for China next week, and while Gasol will not join the team abroad, he is expected to begin practicing in the fall.
Gasol will join a Bruins team that is loaded with talent. UCLA's #1 recruiting class features Shabazz Muhammad, Kyle Anderson, Jordan Adams, and Tony Parker. They will join returning players such as Joshua Smith, Norman Powell, and the Wear twins.
