Posted by Luis Cuevas on Mar 15, 2013 - 2:30:56 PM

WESTWOOD—On Thursday, March 14, UCLA needed to rally to get past Arizona State in the Pac-12 tournament. The team was unrecognizable with new camouflage uniforms. Travis Wear of UCLA was the hero in this game scoring the last jumper with a minute left and a long jumper with 11 seconds left. UCLA escaped MGM Grand Arena with an 80-75 victory over ninth seeded Arizona State. Shabazz Muhammad, the leading scorer for the team with an average of 18 points a game, nearly sat through the first half with foul travel.

Muhammad scored 14 second half points, including the dunk that sparked the UCLA comeback. UCLA took their first lead of the game with five minutes to go before Arizona State came back and held a one point lead until one minute was left. Larry Drew II led the Bruins with 20 points, Wear had 16 points. Jordan Bachynski and Jahii Carson of the Sun Devils has 22 points and 21 points respectively.
