Paul Pierce scored 29 points, had eight rebounds and six assists for the Celtics. Jeff Green had 26 points and Kevin Garnett had 13 points along with 17 rebounds for the game. The biggest difference for the Celtics this game was the play of reserve, Jason Terry, who scored 18 points and six crucial points in overtime to help the Celtics win the game.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 36 points and seven rebounds, but he had seven turnovers and he only made ten of his 35 shot attempts. Iman Shumpert had 12 points and 12 rebounds, but he kept the Knicks in the game. Raymond Felton also had a great game scoring 27 points for the Knicks. The Knicks weren’t able to close the series and were without Sixth man of the year J.R. Smith after he was suspended for throwing an elbow.

The Celtics next go on the road to Madison Square Gardens to battle the Knicks. No team in NBA history has ever gone down 3-0 and come back to win.
