LOS ANGELES—On Tuesday, April 30, the Los Angeles Clippers lost a crucial game 5 to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies won 103-93 on the road in the Staples Center to take 3-2 lead over the Clippers. Blake Griffin left the game with an ankle sprain during the third quarter.

Zach Randolph led the Grizzlies with 25 points and 11 rebounds for the game. Marc Gasol had 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Grizzlies. Mike Conley also scored 20 points and handed out six assists. The difference was the clutch performance of Tayshaun Prince and his 15 points to help the Grizzlies get the road win.

Chris Paul had one of his best games with the Clippers, a stat line that had 35 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals for the game. The big problem for the Clippers was the play of the rest of the starters who combined for 18 points between Blake Griffin, Chauncey Billups, DeAndre Jordan and Caron Butler. Jamal Crawford had 15 points off the bench.

The Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Clippers continue their series in Memphis on Friday for game 6 of the seven game series. The Grizzlies could possibly close out the series and move on to the conference Semi-Finals, if not they will be back in Los Angeles for a game 7.
