Clippers Lose To Dallas Mavericks

LOS ANGELES—On Tuesday, March 26, the Los Angeles Clippers lost to the Dallas Mavericks. The Clippers (48-23) fell to fourth in the western conference after losing to Dallas who are making a late push to make the playoffs. The Dallas Mavericks move to .500 for the first time since December. The Clippers are competing for the third spot in the western conference with both the Denver Nuggets and the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Clippers are the first elite team in the western conference that lost to the Mavericks this season. The Mavericks won 109-102 in overtime after tying the game with an OJ Mayo layup. Dirk Nowitzki had a season high 33 points for the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks had six players in double figures to lead them to the victory.


The Clippers went more than four minutes in overtime with a field goal after Chris Paul put them up by a point. Chris Paul also had a season high 33 points who scored the last 10 points of regulation including the first field goal in overtime.


Matt Barnes had an open shot to tie the game, but shot an air ball in a crucial moment. Blake Griffin and Caron Butler both had 14 points for the Clippers. The Clippers next play the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday.
