Heat Even Series Against Spurs

MIAMI—On Sunday, June 9, the Miami Heat blew out the San Antonio Spurs on their home floor to win game two. After dropping game one in Miami the Heat won 103-84 to even up the series against the Spurs.

Lebron James led the Heat with 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, three steals and three blocks including an emphatic highlight block on Tiago Splitter. Mario Chalmers had 19 points, Chris Bosh had 12 points and Ray Allen came off the bench with 13 points. Miami shot 49 percent for the game compared to the Spurs 41 percent night.

 

Danny Green led the Spurs with 17 points. Tony Parker had 13 points and five assists for the night. Tim Duncan had nine points and Kawhi Leonard also had nine points. Gary Neal scored 10 points off the bench, but it was not enough for the Spurs to overcome the Heat.

 

The best of seven games series continues on Tuesday with game three in San Antonio. The winner of this series will receive the Larry O’Brien trophy. The Miami Heat are going for their second straight championship.
