World Peace went out during a crucial stretch for the Lakers who are looking to stay in the playoffs. The Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz are only one game behind the Los Angeles Lakers for the eighth and final spot in the playoffs.

Metta World Peace went out at the end of the first half during the loss to the Warriors on Monday. He tweeted on Wednesday “14 yrs in the nba and my first knee issue comes at this time. Anyway, Go Lakers!!!” He hopes to heal quickly from the knee injury.

Metta World Peace has played in 70 games this season and is averaging 12.8 points and five rebounds for the Lakers. If he does return, the Lakers would have to be in the western conference semifinals. The Lakers have only 11 games remaining in the season and will play Minnesota on Wednesday.
