DENVER—Nate Robinson and the Denver Nuggets have agreed to a two-year contract. The Nuggets are going to give Robinson $4 million, over the course of two seasons.
Robinson, 29, will once again play back-up point guard, this time around to Ty Lawson under first year coach Brian Shaw. The addition of Robinson gives the team more options, as the Nuggets already have guards Evan Fournier, Andre Miller, Erick Green and Randy Foye.
A first round draft pick in 2005, Robinson has averaged 11.5 points over eight seasons with teams such as the Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks. Robinson was a spark for the Bulls off the bench and helped
Chicago advance to the second round of the Playoffs, where he averaged 16.3 points per game. The 5-foot-9 Robinson played in a career-high 82 games last season with the Bulls, and averaged 13.1 points and 4.4 assists off the bench.
