NEW YORK—On Tuesday, April 23, the Chicago Bulls beat the
Brooklyn Nets to even the playoff series. The Bulls won 90-82 after losing to the Nets in their first meeting.
Joe Johnson & Jimmy Butler
The No. 5 seeded Bulls were led by Luol Deng who had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Kirk Hinrich and Carlos Boozer had 13 points each. Nate Robinson came off the bench and scored 11 points for the Bulls. The factor in the win for
Chicago was the play of recently injured Joakim Noah who scored 11 much needed points and provided late key plays with his inside rebounding and game changing plays.
The Nets shot poorly from the field due to the Bulls intense defense they only shot 35 percent from the field. Brook Lopez scored 21 points and Joe Johnson scored 17 points for the home team. The stellar play of Deron Williams in game one was clouded by a 1-for-9 night from the field for eight points that contributed to the loss for the team.
The playoff series is currently tied at 1-1 with a best of seven game series. The Nets have home court advantage, but they lost a game, which gives the Bulls three more home games and the Nets only two more home games. The next game will be in
Chicago on Thursday.
