The Spurs Beat The Lakers
Posted by Luis Cuevas on Apr 25, 2013 - 10:28:16 AM

LOS ANGELES—On Thursday, April 25, the Los Angeles Lakers lost once again in San Antonio to the Spurs, who now lead the series 2-0. The Lakers lost 102-91 on the road to go down in the series 0-2. The No. 7 seeded Lakers played once again without their superstar shooting guard Kobe Bryant who is out for the season with a torn Achilles.

Tony Parker led the Spurs in shooting with 28 points for the game including seven assists. Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard contributed 16 points each to the win. The Spurs bench scored 32 points outscoring the Lakers bench once again.

Steve Blake and Dwight Howard scored 16 points each for the Lakers. Pau Gasol and Metta World Peace scored 13 points each for the game. There was no major contribution from the starters or the bench to help them win this game. The Lakers shot 45 percent from the field, but the Spurs shot 51 percent from the field including 50 percent from the three-point line.

The next game of the best of seven game series will be played in Los Angeles on Friday. The Lakers look to win the next game if they hope to stay alive against the Spurs. No NBA team has ever gone 0-3 in a series and come back from the deficit. The winner of this series will go up against the Denver Nuggets or the Golden State Warriors.
