WESTWOOD—UCLA Bruins' junior center Anthony Stover has been dismissed from the basketball program for failure to meet NCAA academic eligibility requirements.

Anthony Stover, C.
Last season, Stover started three games and played in 28. He led the Bruins with 1.4 blocks per game and was considered the team's top interior defender.

Stover had also been mentioned in the infamous Sports Illustrated article that claimed head coach Ben Howland had lost control of a team that dabbled in recreational drugs and alcohol some seasons ago.

UCLA is now left with only 10 scholarship players on the roster.

Stover's limited minutes on the floor were already going to be in question as the Bruins will need to find time for star recruit Tony Parker behind veteran bigs, Joshua Smith, and David and Travis Wear.
