BEL AIR—“When Harry Met Sally” and “Sleepless in Seattle” star Meg Ryan has sold her house in the Holmby Hills neighborhood for $11.125 million. The two-story home was originally listed for $19.5 million and had been on and off the market since 2008.
Ryan purchased the property in 2000 for $8.995 million, according to public records. The 6,877 square foot home was leased out for $40,000 a month by Ryan last year.
French doors in the home open to a loggia, a dining pavilion, lawn and a swimming pool. In addition, there are city and ocean views, two family rooms, a pub room, a screening room, six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The four fireplaces include one in the guesthouse.
Ryan’s other on-screen credits include “You’ve Got Mail,” “Serious Moonlight,” “The Women” and “My Mom’s New Boyfriend.” She will be seen next in the upcoming “The Lives of Saints.”
The listing agent was David Offer of Prudential California Realty's Brentwood office. Kurt Rappaport and Richard Ehrlich of Westside Estate Agency represented the buyer.
Adam Bernhard, founder of a fashion flash-sale site called HauteLook, is reportedly the new owner.
