BEL AIR—The Bel-Air Film Festival has been announced, which will run from October 12 to October 17, and the event will emanate from the Skirball Cultural Center, the Luxe Sunset Hotel, and the UCLA James Bridges Theatre.
The annual event will be opened by a Red Carpet Gala to be held at the Skirball Cultural Center. The gala will honor writers Babaloo Mandel and Lowell Ganz, producer Bob Yari, actor Victor Alfieri and finally a World Premiere viewing of Fraydun Manocherian’s “My Father’s Will”. A live musical performance is also expected from Chris Mann and classically trained pianist Chloe Flower.
This year’s festivities will see the screening of 36 films total, including 23 World Premieres and six LA premieres. The viewing of short and student short are expected to be viewed at the week-long festival. The festival will also include a series of after parties that will take place after each evening’s screenings.
Festival judges at the closing ceremony of the festival will deliberate to find out who will receive festival awards, including those for Best Audience Feature, Documentary, and Short Film. Also Jury awards for Feature Film, Directing, Cinematography, and Documentary Film and Documentary Film Directing.
