BEL AIR—According to the official blog of the Los Angeles Police Department, a suspect has been caught on tape by way of a security surveillance system in the Bel Air Hills area.

On October 3, security cameras obtained footage of a suspect smashing a rear window and breaking into a home at the 2000 block of Coldwater Canyon Boulevard. The suspect was described as being a 25 to 35 year old African American male with black hair standing at around 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing around 150 to 160 pounds. The suspect was also wearing a shirt with the letters “FLYS” on the front.

It was reported that the suspect stole cash and jewelry at an approximate value of $122,800. It is surmised that the suspect is a serial burglar, pulling off capers over the last few months targeting upscale areas of West Los Angeles, Hollywood Hills and Southern San Fernando Valley. Detectives are asking for the help from the public in apprehending the daring criminal. It is also believed that the suspect is working with others to commit these burglaries.

To view the footage of the suspect, you can do so by logging on to lapdtv.org.
