Hotel Bel-Air Passes The Torch
Posted by Charlie Golestani on Apr 5, 2012 - 12:01:18 AM

BEL AIRWith renovations completed, Hotel Bel-Air has now found its general manager for the foreseeable future.

Denise Flanders, formerly of a number of Four Seasons Hotels, most recently The Four Seasons Olympic in Seattle, Washington and The Four Seasons Houston, Texas, took former GM Tim Lee’s place.

Lee was brought on staff to help during the hotel’s construction period.  With the conclusion of that work in October of last year, Lee stepped down, according to media relations director Alisha Mahon.

Dorchester Collection, a conglomeration of many of the United States’s and Europe’s finest hotels, appointed Flanders to the position. She was gracious in receiving the new title: “I am delighted to be joining Hotel Bel-Air and taking this iconic address into a new era of glamor and excellence, following the exciting renovations. I am truly passionate about delivering the ultimate in guest relations and looking forward to immersing myself in the Dorchester Collection culture.”

Changes to the hotel include featuring 12 new accommodations, built into the hillside, seven uniquely designed specialty suites, and a brand new spa by luxury Swiss beauty company La Prairie, according to press release from the hotel.

New dining amenities under the guidance of Master Chef Wolfgang Puck will cater to modern California cuisine with European and Mediterranean flair.
