BEL AIR—After a multimillion dollar renovation that spanned two years, the iconic Hotel Bel-Air is finally set to reopen on October 14. The hotel, which is owned by the Sultan of Brunei’s Dorchester Collection, through this remodel is being ushered into the present with many improvements, including the addition of a Presidential Suite.
According to businessinsider.com, the world famous Spanish architecture is to remain, along with the unmistakable “Bel-Air Pink”, while design themes inspired by the decades of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s present a new air of timeless sophistication befitting such a legendary and historic structure.
With the reopening, expect 103 guestrooms and suites, with 12 brand new hillside spaces that offer magnificent views of the canyon, outdoor fireplaces, and decks with private infinity edge pools.
Also new from the renovation, a Presidential Suite has been added, starting at $13,500 per night, the suite has a generous 6,775 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space and offers dining to accommodate 10, a full chef’s kitchen, a study, a grand piano housed in a great room and a private pool in its own private Spanish courtyard.
There has also been an addition of a 12,000 square foot building containing a state of the art fitness studio, three open Lofts, double sided fireplaces with high ceilings. Also in this building is a 4,134 square foot spa by La Prairie featuring seven treatment rooms and a private couples’ room.
The dining venue, which will be known as Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air, will be overseen by the world renowned culinary master and will focus on modern California cuisine with European and Mediterranean influences.
