Jason Arasheben, CEO at Jason of Beverly Hills.

The robbery took place at the Jason of Beverly Hills Jewelry Store located in the 9500 block of Wilshire Boulevard on January 25 at about 6:50 p.m.

A male and female suspect posed as customers and asked the sales clerk to see various pieces of jewelry. While the clerk continued to show the jewelry to the couple, a third suspect came into the store with a handgun.

He proceeded to take several pieces of jewelry from the display case which was opened by the sales clerk. He put the items into a bag and walked out of the store with over $1 million worth of jewelry.

The alleged accomplices followed the third suspect out and police believe the three fled the scene in a 2011 to 2013 white Kia Optima. The suspects were described as African-American and about 25 to 30 years old. Police believe the third suspect was wearing a fake beard during the incident.

A reward of $50,000 has been offered for information that would lead to the arrest, conviction and recovery of any items taken in the robbery.

The Beverly Hills Police Department released a surveillance video on Thursday of the robbery that can be seen at https://vimeo.com/59654975.

Anyone with information about the crime or the suspects is urged to call Detective Eric Hyon at (310) 285-2156. Anyone wishing to provide information anonymously can do so by calling “Crime Stoppers” at (800) 222-TIPS (8477), or texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or by using the L.A. Crime Stoppers website.
