BEVERLY HILLS—The city of Beverly Hills is turning 100 in 2014 and to celebrate their birthday the Beverly Hills Historical Society invites residents to be part of the celebration in the “Beverly Hills:100 Years, 100 Stories." On January 28, 2014, the city will blow out the candles for its 100th birthday and residents will share their fondest memories of the city.

The “100 Years, 100 Stories” is a centennial video project unearthing a time capsule of past and present using both visual and oral through interviews, memorabilia, vintage photos, newsreel, and home videos.

Members of the community are welcome to be a part of Beverly Hills’ past and present by contacting the Beverly Hills Historical Society at 100stories@beverlyhillshistoricalsociety.org or calling (213) 792-2477.

All residents have to do is answer two to three questions from the following sample questions: “What landmark, restaurant or building do you miss the most? What was the best thing that happened to you there? What is the difference between what the world thinks Beverly Hills is? What it really is to live there?”

The city of Beverly Hills is counting down the days with only 152 days left for the party. There is a list of upcoming events and initiatives residents can join, such as a Rose Parade Float, centennial time capsule and much more.
