BEVERLY HILLS—The Beverly Hills Fall artSHOW will return to Beverly Hills on Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Beverly Gardens on Santa Monica Boulevard. The
artSHOW is considered one of the most popular art events on the west
coast and has been held each May and October for nearly forty years.
The artSHOW's recent partnership with the Paley Center for Media will offer a gallery dedicated to Al Hirschfiled's works, a scavenger hunt taking place at both shows, screenings of special animated programs and an integrated booth at the artSHOW. Additionally, the Paley Center will offer its rooftop gardens to artSHOW attendees where Whole Foods will provide snacks.
The show features art by 250 exhibitors from across the country who will present their work in painting, sculpture, watercolor, photography, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry, drawings and printmaking.
“As we continue to rebrand and grow the artSHOW, we are rapidly bringing our patrons both the remarkable selection of artists and art they’ve come to know as well as innovative and experiential new features,” said artSHOW Coordinator Karen McLean.
The special features of the 2012 Fall artSHOW are illustration and the art of animation with artists such as Deanna Rene Adona, Tanya Doskova, Darrell Driver, John Hung Ha, Mark Ludy, Victor St. Lee and Marissa Textor.
“Some of these artists adhere more closely to comic-book like portraits and some more to literary illustration,” said McLean. “But they all share wonderful rendering skills.”
Visitors will have the opportunity to speak with each artist to discuss their artwork as over 240 artworks will be spread out across the four garden blocks of the artSHOW.
