BEVERLY HILLS—The City of Beverly Hills will be holding public meetings to discuss taxicab services for the city. All residents, business owners and local employees are encouraged to attend one of the two meetings to provide input on taxicab experiences and the best ways to serve the community.
Canyon News spoke with Therese Kosterman, Public Information Manager for the City of
Beverly Hills about the upcoming meetings.
When asked what prompted the city to hold public meetings about taxi service, Kosterman replied, “The City of Beverly Hills is transitioning the regulation of taxi service to a system that allows the City more control and holds the taxi companies more accountable. The community is encouraged to attend these forums and share their experience, including what they would like to see in the future. This input will help the City create an environment for improved taxi service.”
Topics to be discussed at the meeting include customer service, general tip experience and transportation needs for seniors, disabled customers and minors. The two meetings are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 6 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the
RoxburyCommunity Center and on Thursday, August 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at City Hall, Room 280A.
