BEVERLY HILLS—The city of Beverly Hills has decided to stream commission meetings live starting Tuesday, April 9. Previously, all commission reports were available online after the meetings.

“This is a great step toward increased government transparency,” said Beverly Hills Mayor John Mirisch.

Canyon News spoke to Therese Kosterman, Public Information Manager for the City of Beverly Hills, about the live streaming. She stated that it was something the city council has been thinking about doing for a while now.

With live streaming, the Beverly Hills citizens are now able to have opportunities to watch it on the go. As long as you have access to internet, you can log on to www.beverlyhills.org/watchlive and if you don’t have internet it can be viewed in the City’s cable channel, BHTV channel 10.

More information about the 11 commissions is provided in the following link www.beverlyhills.org/commissions. If you need to know the schedule of any commission meetings, visit www.beverlyhills.org/commissioncalender.
