BEVERLY HILLS—Yet another earthquake shook throughout the Los Angeles area on Monday, September 3, although this time it struck in Beverly Hills rather than Yorba Linda, from where many of the recent quakes originated.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake had a 3.2 magnitude and occurred at 3:26 a.m. centered one mile east-northeast of Beverly Hills, one mile from West Hollywood, two miles from Century City and eight miles from Los Angeles Civic Center.
The Los Angeles Fire Department and Beverly Hills Fire Department went into emergency mode after the quake struck, but no injuries or damages were reported. The quakes did, however, set off a number of security alarms.
There has been one earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 or greater centered nearby in the past ten days.
