The event is co-sponsored by the City of Beverly Hills and California Recycles. During the day, there will be lots of different sections to give attendants tips about energy saving, sustainability, recycling, and emergency preparedness. California Recycles will also provide free document shredding which prevents identity theft and protects the environment.

Earth day is an annual world-wide event to appeal for environmental protection and a lifestyle changing. The concept of living green is using limited natural resource to make it max effective and sustainable. With increasing recognition of eco-friendly technology, new theories and materials give us ways to help save our planet. Green lifestyle can also be as simple as substituting bulb to energy saving light; recycling PVC bottle and paper and using less throw-away plates.

If you are interested about green lifestyle, or want to know about it join Earth Day at Beverly Hills Farmer’s Market. For more information contact the Beverly Hills Public Works Department at 310-285-2467 or go to www.beverlyhills.org/earthday.
