Hearse Driver Dies Behind The Wheel

BEVERLY HILLS—A female hearse driver who was driving a body in a casket to a funeral died behind the wheel on Monday, August 13.

Police have identified the woman as 59-year-old Garlandine Garvin of Los Angeles, however, her cause of death has yet to be reported.

Around 3 p.m., the Beverly Hills police were called to the white custom Lincoln Continental hearse which was parked near the Beverly Hills Hotel. Police have reported that they received a call from a passerby who noticed a body slumped forward behind the wheel. Her death is believed to be due to natural causes with no signs of foul play.
