BEVERLY HILLS—Johnny Gill is suing the Four Seasons Beverly Hills hotel after no one working for the hotel intervened when Gill was being attacked and beaten by another man. The 47-year-old R&B singer alleges that a white individual attacked him with racial slurs before beginning to beat him.

According to Gill, an unprovoked patron approached him while he was speaking with friends and began attacking him. The incident took place Friday, August 23, at around 11 p.m.

Gill is now suing the man who attacked him for loss of earnings since he was reportedly unable to perform after the altercation. He is also suing for medical expenses.

The R&B singer is also suing the hotel for not intervening during the altercation and for not being aware of how much the assailant was drinking since his inebriation is what reportedly led to the altercation.

Canyon News reached out to the Four Seasons Beverly Hills for comment, but was told they would not discuss the incident.
