BEVERLY HILLS—On Tuesday, August 6 from 6:00-9:00 p.m., the city will hold a 30th anniversary National Night Out celebration. The event began back in 1984 in an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

National Night Out is now active in 15,000 communities all across the United States with over 37 million people taking part in crime prevention.

The event will take place on Rexford Drive where the police department, fire department, library and community services, and office of emergency management will celebrate a day to display how they are making the community safer.

National Night Out will have a multitude of different displays which include the police department SWAT team and K-9 displays, disaster, health and safety information, campfire songs and storytelling, crime prevention information, CPR display and health screenings.
