BEVERLY HILLS—On Tuesday, July 16, The Parley Center for Media will present “An Evening With Web Therapy: The Craze Continues.” During the event, there will be an in-person conversation with the cast and creators including: Lisa Kudrow, Don Roos, Dan Bucatinsky, Lily Tomlin and Gary Levine, Showtime EVP of original programming, with “The Talk’s” Sara Gilbert as guest moderator.
The panel will be live streamed at www.PaleyCenter.org/Live, starting at 7:30 p.m. Also the panel discussion will include real-time photos and live tweets from the event.
The series “Web Therapy” began as an online series, but in April 2010, Showtime announced plans to adapt the online episodes for broadcast on television. The series then premiered on Showtime on July 19, 2011 and ran for 10 episodes.
In December 2011, Showtime renewed Web therapy for a second season of 10 episodes, airing in 2012. Since the beginning of the show it has won two awards and has been praised with positive reviews.
In 2009, and 2010 the series won the Webby Award and 2011 it won the Banff World Media Festival. The web to television series begins its third season at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23.
