BHPD Says Sexual Assault Is Baseless

BEVERLY HILLS—A woman staying at the Montage Beverly Hills hotel stated that she was sexually harassed by two men. Detectives from the Beverly Hills Police Department claim that the woman’s accusations are baseless.

Police responded to the hotel, which is located on Canon and Beverly Drive north of Wilshire Boulevard, following a sexual harassment report called in on Wednesday, November 2 at 1:30 a.m. The police released a statement describing what they believe happened.

“The alleged victim was entertaining two gentlemen in her room when the situation escalated and she became fearful. Disoriented and embarrassed, the alleged victim responded to the hotel’s lobby where she was contacted by hotel security who ultimately contacted the Beverly Hills Police Department,” according to the statement.

According to reports, the female guest is in her 40s. She reported to have been assaulted by two men. Officers searched for evidence in the hotel room of the guest. They later came to the conclusion that there had not been any crime, nor any sign of a break-in after a brief interview with the woman. The alleged victim’s name has not yet been released, and witnesses say the two alleged attackers fled the hotel. No arrests have been made at the moment. Management from the hotel staff was not available for comment.
